Lydia Palmer

Yorkshire-based mezzo-soprano Lydia Palmer is quickly establishing herself as a versatile and engaging performer. A graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, where she achieved a First-Class degree in Classical Performance, Lydia combines a rich vocal artistry with a deep understanding of ensemble music-making.

For the past three years, she has sung as an alto within Sheffield Cathedral Choir, where she has gained extensive experience in both liturgical and concert repertoire. Alongside her choral work, Lydia has appeared as a soloist with many choral societies across the North of England, recently performing with the Bolton Symphony Orchestra.

In 2022 she participated in the Internationale Sommerakademie at the Mozarteum University, Salzburg, working with distinguished international tutors and performers.

As a former violinist, she brings a broad musical insight and a strong sense of collaboration to her singing.
